U.S actor and singer Will Smith will perform at the closing ceremony of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The American actor, will sing ‘Live it Up’, the tournament’s official song, alongside U.S singer Nicky Jam and Kosovar singer and songwriter Era Istrefi. The closing ceremony of the World Cup will take place at the Moscow’s Luzhniki stadium this Sunday, 15th July, 2018. France and Croatia is set to battle it off for the converted title as World champions, while Belgium and England will play a match for the third place on Saturday in St. Petersburg.
The World Cup kicked off nearly a month ago with a performance of Robbie Williams during which the British singer courted controversy by showing the middle finger. Later, he played down the incident, saying he just used his middle finger to do a countdown.
Smith is a five-time Golden Globe Awards’ nominee and two-time Academy Awards nominee. He has won four Grammy Awards. The actor and singer has over the years transitioned from television to film after starring in NBC television series ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ which streamed for six years, 1990-1996.
