An essential aspect of the Glitz Style Awards is its ever-evolving red carpet. For five years and still counting, stars that walk the carpet have marshaled it into a safer and risky place where they come displaying all sort of fashion statements worthy of a world of talk.
The first edition held way back in 2015, saw a style delivery of African fabric pieces turned into ball gowns by the host Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku. In the second season (2016), Berla Mundi’s princess inspired blue gown by Sima Brew turned heads across the continent.
2017 gave a third episode of the renowned Glitz Style Awards, and as a pioneer in the fashion industry with a past record of Google most searched celebrity in Ghana (2013), Nadia Buari championed the course of Kente piece on the red carpet. Paving way for more tried and tested kente made looks on the red carpet. Last year was a whole mood altogether, as Becca’s sweeping African print gown accessorized with a heavy bow tie on the front side caused a huge stir for show lovers.
