Creative director of power house fashion brands Louis Vuitton and Off-White has launched his own brand jewellery collection, Virgil Abloh.
The collection made of paper clips according to Abloh took him three years to develop, making it a dear project to his heart. He disclosed in an interview with WWD, “The idea is like high jewellery for all. It’s a crash, it’s a paper clip, but it’s also pave diamonds made in a very specific way. I’ve been developing those for three years.”
Abloh will present his jewellery collection, which includes a necklace, earrings and many other fashion accessories, alongside his latest handbag and trainer designs for Off-White at a pop-up boutique in Hotel Costes, Paris come January 17-29 to coincide with the men’s ready-to-wear and women’s haute couture shows in Paris for fashion enthusiast to patronize.
As a creative, who experiments with everything fashion worthy, Abloh also shared with WWD, “My ideas don’t stay neatly in one box,” he further hinted on his lesser known passion, which he will make use of in old age, “When I’m old and done, I will be in some remote town somewhere owning a flower shop. I have the concept already done. That’s what I’m into most.”
