VGMA red carpet review – favorite five

Nothing spells fashion and style more than a Vodafone Ghana Music Awards red carpet. Over the years, the biggest night in music on the showbiz calendar has been a vernacular hub in the formation of regal masterpieces. Giving yet another year of beautiful, bold and arresting outfits, the VGMAs red carpet evidently pocketed a top-to-toe for the books look.

Following the VGMAs Red Carpet Poll we conducted on our Instagram page (@glitzafrica.hq) this morning, we have picked the top 5 fan favourites. You chose your favourite celebrities on the red carpet as seen over the weekend at the award ceremony and we have the verdict below!

Here are the top five fave looks with the most hits amongst the hundreds of big industry players that strutted their stuff on the 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Awards red carpet.

Berla Mundi in Epihpani Official

Berla Mundi’s look at the just ended VGMAs red carpet was indeed one to love. This was her third time hosting the awards event and the media personality took a chance on an upcoming fashion label to clothe her. The outcome was decidedly well received by the public as it made it as one of the top hits of our poll. Special props to her makeup artiste for nailing this soft glam look!

Sika Osei in Yartel

It is not a surprise that the lovely Sika Osei is a fan fave when it comes to red carpets. The patterned fabric on the bottom half of the garment was a bold choice but it worked perfectly with the subtle embroidery on the blouse.

We think an all-black pair of straps would have completed the fantasy but the overall look was stunning.

Cina Soul

What makes Cina Soul’s look a fan fave is how edgy it is! Cina clearly knows what works for her style, body and artistry. The fit of the pants could have been slightly better but the overall ensemble was well thought out and executed!

KiDi

In what looks like he pulled out of his wardrobe, this look is just perfect for a music awards night. Most importantly, it was true to the artist’s style and it’s how simple, playfully casual and well put together the look was for us and obviously for most people and that’s why it was chosen as part of the night’s fave looks!

James Gardiner in David Wej

This David Wej number fits as a glove would on the actor James Gardiner. He was one of the few men to wear a suit for the night and he stood out in the dashing choice of blue!
