‘Toy Story 4’ has grossed over $1 billion box office total globally. The attained fete makes it the fifth released Disney film in 2019 to soar past $1 billion and the sixth title of 2019 thus far.
Online media outlets report that, through Wednesday, ‘Toy Story 4’ had grossed $421.8 million domestically and $579.9 million internationally for a worldwide total of $1.002 billion.
Produced under Disney’s baby-company Pixar Animation, ‘Toy Story 4’ places No. 2 on the U.K. chart of animated releases of all time with $75.2 million, while topping the Japan market with $77 million and becoming Mexico’s biggest film ever in terms of admission at a million-dollar pack of $72 million. It now becomes the fourth film by Pixar to get added to the billion-dollar records after ‘Incredibles 2’, ‘Finding Dory’ and its lead up animate pic ‘Toy Story 3’.
Starring Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear and Annie Potts as Bo Peep, the film is directed by Josh Cooley and made its theater debut in June 2019.
So far, other films that have made it on the list of the billion-dollar box office club include; ‘Avengers; Endgame ($2.8 billion), ‘The Lion King’ ($1.3 billion), ‘Captain Marvel’ ($1.1 billion), ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ ($1.09 billion) and ‘Aladdin’ ($1.04 billion), all produced by Disney, except for No.4 ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’, which is under Sony Pictures.
