Comedy duo, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have been announced as hosts for the 2021 Golden Globe Awards.
“There is no denying that Tina and Amy’s comedic chemistry is infectious. We can’t wait to see the dynamic duo return to the Golden Globes stage,” said president of Hollywood Foreign Press Association Lorenzo Sonia.
Tina and Amy hosted the 2013 and 2015 Golden Globes. In 2013, the two recorded the highest rating for the program in six years and during the 2015 telecast, the duo announced that it will be the last time they take the Golden Globe stage as show hosts. Both are past Golden Globe recipients with Tina being a two-time winner for her role in ’30 Rocks’ and Amy once for her performance in ‘Parks and Recreation’.
No said date has been set aside for the 2021 broadcast together with its honorees and other activities that take place in the course of the ceremony. The duo’s announcement as show host of the 78th Golden Globe Awards comes in less than two weeks after the 2020 edition was aired.
