A$AP Rocky will have to stay in Sweden police cells for a while before his first hearing in court proceeds. The Swedish prosecutor handling the rapper’s case has asked for more time to carry out their investigations before taking the case to court.
“We have worked intensively with the investigation and now we need until Thursday next week in order for the preliminary investigation to be complete. While investigation is in progress, I cannot give any further comments,” said Daniel Suneson, prosecutor of A$AP’s case.
Friends and colleagues in the music industry as A$AP have taken to various social media platforms lobbying for a release of the rapper following his arrest. Reality star Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West, took the lobby further by calling on the US president Donald Trump to step in to help release the rapper. Trump has since then expressed interest in the case and taken unannounced actions to resolve the case.
Rocky’s defense lawyer has refused to comment on the prosecutor’s call for more time with the investigations but has said he would hold a press conference in Sweden later today.
