Forever is an understatement when it comes to waiting for the darkest part (as described by the cast), which is season three of the award-winning series Stranger Things. At the break of New Year’s Day Netflix announced July 4, 2019 as the release date for the third season of their hit series Stranger things.
With fireworks and all six lead kid characters designed on the official poster the show is set to make a comeback this year with more entertaining but dark moments for the characters to survive through as done in the first two seasons and get viewers glued to the streaming platform for the next episode after the first showing.
Not much is known about the upcoming season, but as promised by Netflix programming executive Cindy Holland in her address to the late release of the third season she disclosed it to be something fantastic, “I think it’s going to be a fantastic season. It will be worth the wait.”
The last season ended with some couple formations; Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown and Mike, played by Finn Wolfhard alongside Lucas, played by Caleb McLaughlin and Max, played by Sadie Sink. Shawn Levy, executive producer of the show shared with The Hollywood Reporter about the romance by these characters at the latter part of the season two as something growing in the third season, but will be interfered with some setbacks. He said, “Mike and Eleven are going strong, so that’s a relationship that continues, and same with Mad Max and Lucas. But again, they’re like 13 or 14 year-old kids, so what does romance mean at that stage of life? It can never be simple and stable relationships and there’s fun to that instability.”
Season three takes place in 1985, set around the countdown of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve in 1985.
