Glitz Africa has launched the maiden edition of the SheAfrica Dialogue, set to take place in 2024.
The SheAfrica Dialogue, is an initiative aimed at bringing together female business leaders, corporate executives, heads of institutions and entrepreneurs to gather at one space to network, mentor and share ideas.
The platform is a call to action, developed as a global effort to contribute and achieve the vision of achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls through integrated approaches for sustainable development.
At the launch of the Dialogue were renowned leaders and stakeholders within the diplomatic circles. Hosted by Dr. Chanita Foster, guests and key speakers included Dr. Eugene Owusu, Special Advisor on SDGs to the President of Ghana, Angela Lusigi, UNDP Resident Representative Ghana, Cynthia Muffuh, Head of Human Rights and Gender UN Global Compact and others.
The Dialogue’s convener, Claudia Lumor, expressed her excitement for the launch of such an initiative and entreated guests present to engage in open, meaning conversations, share insights and forge partnerships that will propel Africa forward.
The maiden edition of the Dialogue will run under the theme ‘Driving Africa’s Prosperity through the Influence of Women Leadership and Entrepreneurship’.
Partners for the launch event included United Nations Development Programme and the UN Global Compact.
