20-year-old Canadian heartthrob Shawn Mendes has finally opened up, affirming and discrediting the series of piled up rumors leveled against him in past months and years.
Mendes in an interview with Rolling Stones disclosed the truth pertaining to his relationship to then ‘Hailey Baldwin’, and now ‘Hailey Bieber’ which sparked up romantic link ups between them, of which neither party affirmed nor debunked the rumor. Mendes obviously brings the discussion to a close as he rallied on in his interview saying, “I don’t wanna even put a title on it. I think it was more of a zone limbo,” totally confirming the then alleged rumor.
In the history of Shawn and Hailey dating period, the two made their red-carpet debut on the 2018 Met Gala, as they strutted on the carpet holding each other and smiling for the cameras. Shortly after their Met assembly, Hailey got back together with her husband Justin and got engaged the following month. Speaking about how he felt and his present feelings towards Mrs Bieber, the Canadian singer said, “I get it you know, I texted Hailey, ‘Congratulations,’ and I really am happy for them. She’s still one of the coolest people ever – she’s not just a beautiful person visually, but she’s one of the most beautiful hearts I’ve ever met.”
The singer who has been tagged as homosexual, since his break-out also used the other segment of the interview to stress on the fact that he is not gay, although he doesn’t see anything wrong with it. According to Shawn, the result of the gay tag adds more pressure on him to find a girlfriend just to be free. ” In the back of my heart, I feel like I need to go be seen with someone-like a girl- in public, to prove to people that I’m not gay,” he said. “Even though in my heart I know that it’s not a bad thing. There’s still a piece of me that thinks that. And I hate that side of me.”
