Leveraging on the merit of digital platforms to entertain his loyal fan army, Shatta Wale is set on hosting an online concert dubbed ‘Faith Concert’ to be streamed freely by all worldwide on his YouTube handle and other social media platforms.
Given the current ‘social distancing’ state of the country, the award-winning dancehall artist is the first among his colleagues in Ghana to go digital regarding home-based live concerts as means of entertaining fans left with no other option than stay home.
“A concert to my fans around the globe Live on YOUTUBE to KEEP THE FAITH in these challenging times as humanity is faced with its extinction. Believing that God will take us through this trying phase and knowing that we all count and can make an effort to stay safe as these daunting hours pass by. “FAITH CONCERT” will be transmitted live through all our social media handles. Dates will be announced soon. KEEP THE FAITH IN GOD ALIVE. Be Safe. Love you all,” wrote Shatta.
Elsewhere in the world, big acts such as John Legend, Keith Urban, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, The Queens among others have taken to Instagram live to stage home-based concerts to provide entertainment services to their many followers from around the world.
The case of COVID-19 became severe in Ghana after two people tested positive late last week Thursday. The number of cases currently stands at 16, so far stationed in the Greater Accra Region and the Ashanti Region.
