Award-winning rapper, Sarkodie is set to host the second edition of his once in a year musical concert for kidz dubbed Our Day with Sark, in November 2018. The event was earlier scheduled to take place on October 21, at the El-Wak stadium, but due to some reasons beyond the organizers’ control, it will happen in November.
The annual event brings together die-hard kid fans of the BET awards’ winner to meet and interact with him personally alongside some musical performances from the rapper himself and some selected music acts in Ghana and beyond. Movie personalities and celebrities in the showbiz industry are also tipped to make an appearance.
On the day of the event, children will be treated to fun activities such as sharp brain contest, musical chairs, treasure hunt, dance competition and many more.
In an interactive conversation with Beatwaves, organizers of the event assured parents not to worry about the safety of their children when they come, as measures are being put in place to ensure the safety of every kid who will be present, “There is security on the ground and we have various experienced people among the team to take care of the children who will attend the event. We want this to be a party for the children. There will be lot of drinks and food,” they said.
As part of this year’s concert, Sarkodie will embark on an educational campaign tour to encourage students to learn and study very well to become influential people in society despite the conditions they find themselves in. There will also be price packages for children who participate and excel in various activities slated on the day of the event.
