Celebrated Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, who doubles as a former cover star of our quarterly magazine releases will headline the 2019 MTN Music Festival in Kumasi alongside award winning Glitz Style Awards winner Okyeame Kwame.
The April 30 slated event to take place at the Golden Bean hotel forms part of MTN Ghana’s annual celebration and expression of the Ghanaian heritage through the art of music, dance and poetry. The event is the May Day edition of the MTN Music Festival, which is amongst the many staged MTN traditional shows making headlines from time-to-time.
Prior to the scheduled event, the two headline rap gods are in the news from one success story to the other. Okyeame Kwame recently launched his much anticipated ‘Made in Ghana’ concert at the +233 Jazz Bar, which featured on stage KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Wiyaala, Trigmatic and more. Sarkodie on the other side is up with 10 VGMA nominations including, artist of the decade and the coveted artist of the year award, which he has already basked two (2010 & 2012).
