Making their debut in the beef club 2years ago, two of Ghana’s highly acclaimed rappers Sarkodie and Manifest have finally settled their differences in a tweet and retweet lauding the other and a thank you.
The beef resolution comes about following a music video Manifest shot in honor of the three-time World Boxing Champion, Azumah Nelson’s 60th birthday. Fans of the rapper and colleagues in the music industry took to twitter to applaud the God MC for a fantastic lyrical delivery and the video concept. Sarkodie, who was obviously the least person fans thought would congratulate his rival, Manifest, took to his twitter handle on Tuesday morning to commend the rapper for a good job done with the visuals.
“M.anifest-Azumah Nelson Flow youtu.be/y5rdbl2_WWg via @YouTube my man always come through with em dope visuals ?? Love this,” wrote Sarkodie.
Two hours after the tweet, Manifest responded with a retweet “Obidi nie. Menua medaase“. Although both rappers have not granted any interview by far talking about their beef resolution, the tweet posted by both rappers clearly shows their differences have been settled.
Sarkodie and Manifest were involved in a rap beef two years ago over who owns the title as the best rapper in Ghana following Sarkodie’s released track Bossy in which he claimed to be the best rapper in Ghana. Manifest not agreeing with him later released his track god MC , which contained lyrics bashing Sarkodie’s claim. Not ending there Sarkodie came up with another track Kanta, which not only questioned Manifest best rapper claim but also his fashion sense. In one of his lyrical punches, Sark exclaimed “Meny3 rapper a mede GTP ntoma pam Kaba”.
Sarkodie and Manifest have both merited the best rapper award at the prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards year after year. Manifest winning for the second time in 2017 after his win in 2013 and Sarkodie taking home the rap title in for the fifth time in 2018.
