Rufftown records, management of the late dancehall artiste, Ebony Reigns has announced that they are not releasing songs written by the late artiste anymore as planned.
In an official document signed by the label’s CEO, Ricky Nana Agyeman popularly known as Bullet, the label has disassociated itself from the unreleased songs of their late artiste stating that they have handed over everything related to Ebony to her father, Mr. Kwarteng.
The sudden detachment from their one-time favorite artiste, who fetched them much fame and money than any other artiste signed to their label follows a recent sit down interview by Mr. Kwarteng on Adom FM where he claimed he has been swindled by his late daughter’s manager, Bullet. On the side of Mr. Kwarteng, he claims to have been given two thousand cedis from a concert which allegedly grossed a total of thirty nine thousand Ghana cedis.
The label has therefore come to a conclusive decision to hand over all songs written by Ebony herself to her father and edged fans of the late artiste to ask Mr. Kwarteng when those songs will be released. However, songs written for the late artiste to record are still with the management.
The late Ebony Reigns was signed onto the label at the inception of her music career in 2015. Herself and her management produced several hit songs such as, Hustle, Aseda, Sponsor, Date your Father and more before her untimely death in February this year. She doubles as the first female artiste in Ghana to win the Artiste of the year award at the prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
