With her latest movie ‘The Perfect Picture, 10 Years Later’ set for cinemas tomorrow, Shirley Frimpong-Manso’s award-winning movie ‘Potato Potahto’ is hitting the Netflix platform on Sunday, December 15.
The film, which stars Joselyn Dumas, Joke Silva, Nikki Samonas, Adjetey Anang, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Lala Akindoju, OC Ukeje and other cinemas acclaimed figures, will double as the first Ghanaian produced/directed movie to stream on Netflix.
Since its debut premiere on November 24, 2017, the film has scored multiple nominations and wins at the Africa Movie Academy Awards and the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards including mentions in best picture, best overall movie, best movie West Africa (AMVCA) and achievement in screenplay, best actress in a leading role and supporting role (AMAAs), all in 2018.
‘Potato Potahto’ tells the story of a divorced couple, who decides to continue sharing a home but their already-delicate cohabiting scheme unravels when they begin dating other people.
