Phoebe Philo, former creative director for Celine has been named as guest speaker for the 2019 Engadin Art Talks.
Engadin Art Talks, which is an annual arts and architecture symposium will have for the first time Phoebe Philo as its guest speaker. Philo will be in conversation with longtime collaborator Juergen Teller, who shot most of the Celine campaigns during her decade at the fashion house, choreographer Cecilia Bengolea, musician Anthony Moore, architect Arno Brandlhuber and artist Lena Henke for the panel discussions led by EAT founding members Daniel Baumann, Bice Curiger, Hnas-Ulrich Obrist and Philip Ursprung.
The festival is slated to take place in Alpine ski resort of Zuoz in the region of Engadin on January 26 and 27. Experts from the fields of art, design, film, architecture, science and literature will come together to discuss this year’s theme: “How do gravity and grace define current day life in the digital age?”
Philo presented her final Celine autumn/winter 2018 collection in March this year and has since been off the fashion parades as she is reported to be focusing on her private life more now.
