UK-based music label Coda has handed over total ownership rights to Paradigm, the record label which represents top stars such as Shawn Mendes, Sia, Kacey Musgrave and Janet Jackson.
The full merge of the two companies comes in five years later after Paradigm purchased a 50% stake in Coda (2014). Now recognised as a single label, Coda will take on the Paradigm name and its London-based office will become Paradigm’s U. K and European headquarters. Alex Hardee, Tom Schroeder, James Whitting and Dave Hallybone, who serve as Coda partners will however continue to lead the firm’s London office.
“Coda and Paradigm have had tremendous success throughout our five-year partnership, creating opportunities and building enduring careers for a roster of enduring talent. We look forward to the next chapter as one global company, driven by agents who share an unwavering focus on the artists we represent and the art they create,” said Sam Gores Paradigm chairman and CEO.
Paradigm’s head of global music Marty Diamond, further added, “The success of Paradigm’s partnership with Coda has shown there are no longer borders in the global music industry or within our two companies. Now as one company, we will continue to leverage our integrated approach in everything we do.”
With the new signed deal, Paradigm now also handles international representation outside North America for Rita Ora, Liam Payne, Mark Rosnon, Pusha T Bon Iver, Lewis Capaldi and list of many others. Discussions about how finances are going to be controlled for both parties and artiste management are kept out of public space at the moment.
