Oscars 2019 nomination list out!

The Academy has finally set the tone for the Oscar race by unveiling its 91st show nominees.

Topping the chart this year are Roma and The favorite, scoring a whopping 10 Oscar nominations each, including Best Picture and a Best actress category for Olivia Colman (The Favorite) and Yalitza Aparico (Roma). Roma again makes history by becoming the first Netflix film to grab a best picture Oscar nomination feature, whereas Black Panther also made history as the first superhero movie to score a best picture slot.

Six times Oscar nominee Glenn Close returns on the Oscar ballot sheet with her seventh nomination for ‘The Wife’ competing alongside A Star is Born actress Lady Gaga.The announcement was carried out by Kumail Najiani and Tracee Ellis Ross. With regards to who is hosting the show, The Academy reportedly still has no show host. 2019 Oscars air live on ABC, February 27.
