‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ to receive The Capri, Hollywood Fest best cast honor

Quentin Tarantino’s ninth installment film ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ will be honored at the upcoming The Capri, Hollywood International Film Festival, for best ensemble cast.

The recognition will go out to cast members Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Emile Hirsch, Margaret Qualley, Timothy Olyphant, Austin Butler, Dakota Fanning, Bruce Dern, Lena Dunham, Mikey Madison, Lorenza Izzo and Al Pacino.

“Combined, these amazing performers populate the captivating scenario of 1969 Los Angeles, arousing the enthusiasm of audiences from all around the world,” Tony Reins, the festival’s honorary president disclosed.

‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ features among the eyed Hollywood projects readily making its way as a strong contender into the 2020 award season. A possible Golden Globe and Academy Awards best picture win has already been tipped for the production. Grossing up to $372 million worldwide at the box office, the film is also attracting a SAG Awards best cast ensemble next year.

The Capri, Hollywood International Film Festival 2019 will run from December 26 – January 2, 2020 in Capri, Italy. This year’s edition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Italian filmmaker Gillo Pontecorvo’s birth. As announced, Steven Zaillian will take home the best adapted screenplay for Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Irishman’ and Marco Bellocchio for best international film for ‘The Traitor’.

The festival since 1995, has been a predictor of films that dominate award season as winners, and if it’s going to be anything like previous years, ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ is in for a good run next year.
