Academy Award winning actress Nicole Kidman will receive the Hollywood Career Achievement Award at the 2018 Hollywood Film Awards. The event will take place on November 4 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
The actress who has over 20 prestigious awards to her belt will receive the honorary award for her diverse resume of acting roles as well as for her work spotlighting independent, female filmmakers through her production company Blossom Films, producers of the award winning HBO series Big Little Lies. She doubles as part of the handful of Australian actress’ in Hollywood to have won an Oscar, Golden Globes, Emmy, SAG award and a Cannes Film Festival special award.
Kidman made her acting debut in the year 1983 by starring in the Australian film Bush Christmas and pursued through to 1990, where she starred in her first Hollywood movie with the racing film Days of Thunder, alongside her ex-husband Tom Cruise. She has since then been one of the most sought after actresses of all time, both in Hollywood and Australia.
The Hollywood Film Awards span multiple categories spotlighting cinematography, visual effects, film composing, costume design, editing and more. Other award recipients of the night are set to be announced in subsequent weeks.
