The definition of style goes way beyond red carpet long gowns and accessories. For someone who claims to be the definition of contemporary style, it should take less effort in channeling another style contender’s most glam look into your own version, and that’s exactly what our queen of style Nana Akua Addo has done with the famous Cardi B Michael Costello gown and hat at the Paris Fashion Week.
Stepping out on Saturday for what she captioned ‘Duty Call’, Nana Akua owned the Cardi B look with a well put together high-neck thigh slit gown made of African fabric, but showing off more frontal than the original copy. A fashion icon in all respect, Nana fascinated the look with a Vikkinator’s hat. Her pose for the Cpix lens and attitude that wore the dress totally took the full look from the ordinary set of fashion statement trends to the helm of extraordinary.
Dominating the African fashion and style industry since her come back in 2015, Nana Akua has transformed the stress that comes with serving looks for the books into a luxury which makes slaying, and we mean ‘Slaying’ effortless. She doubles as a two-time winner for the annual Glitz Style Awards, where she presided over the bragging title as best dressed celebrity on the red carpet in 2016-2017.
