Award-winning media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has been selected as part of the 7-member committee for the Women’s Premier League.
The appointment was announced by new-in-office Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku, during the early hours of today in a meeting between GFA Executive Council and the clubs in Accra.
The women committee will be headed by HR Consultant Madam Hilary Boateng, as president, and assisted by Graphic Communication Group Limited Deputy News Editor Rosalind Amoh, as vice president.
Other recognized women joining the committee are Madam Cleopatra Nsia and Jerry Dogbatse alongside Nana Poku Fosu Geabour II and Christian Isaac Mensah, who were nominated by the women’s league clubs for the Southern and northern sector respectively.
Nana Aba Anamoah, since her TV3 stationed days has been a laud supporter of football, both local and international. Through her capacity as a news anchor and TV hostess, the renowned media figure has developed concept football shows like ‘The Diva’s Show’, which aired on TV3 back in 2011 to 2016 and GHOne TVs ‘Cheers’, currently run by her media mentee Serwaa Amihere.
On the other side of the women’s league schedule, the games are set to kick-start on December 17, 2019.
