‘MUSIGA Grand Ball’ known as the one night in GH music, where everything is pointed at raising funds for the aged musicians above sixty, incapacitated or dead with surviving relatives will host its 2019 edition, on March 29 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
The ball is a fusion of patrons from all corners of Ghana ready to give away some cash in the form of donation to support the cause of the ball. Attendees this year will be treated to some live performances by, Nana Kwame Anpadu, Bessa Simmons, Tagoe Sisters, Rev. Yawson, Pat Thomas and many more.
As part of this year’s event, there will be an auctioning of special collections of musical works by some of the veteran musicians. The ball will also honour personalities, who have been in support to the Musician’s union cause, since its inception. Bice Osei Kuffour, President of the association, popularly known as Obour in showbiz circles explains that the ball is aimed at giving ‘the business community’ a chance to get entertained and also to raise some money for the music industry in Ghana.
Knowing perfectly well is a ball for music night, it still doesn’t rule out the chances of seeing high fashioned gowns and tuxedos as brought on board in past editions by Joselyn Dumas, Selly Galley, Nikki Samonas and other fashion icons in Ghana.
