The 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards, is set to air live on June 17 at 9 p.m.ET/PT. Giving show lovers more insight on what is expected to take place on the night, MTV has announced its line-up of award presenters to hand out the coveted plaques to be won on the eve.
The star-studded presenters include; ‘Parks and Recreation’ actress Aubrey Plaza, Tottenham’s club chairman Daniel Levy, actor/retired wrestler Dave Bautista, actor/stand-up comedian Kumail Nanjiani, Jameela Jamil, Kiernan Shipka, Maude Apatow, MJ Rodriguez, Shameik Moore and Storm Reid.
As part of producers’ attempt to give fans who will be watching from the comfort of their homes more insider access, MTV will be hosting the traditional red carpet live stream and MTV Movie & TV Awards Game Night co-viewing live stream. The Game Night section will not only give viewers the opportunity to partake in the awards ceremony, but also win prizes on the platform’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitter handles.
The red carpet will begin streaming at 8:00 PM ET on Twitter, hosted by B. Simone and Josh Horowitz, whiles internet personality Timothy DeLaGhetto and comedian Darren Brand will host the Game Night part, scheduled for 9 p.m.ET.
Also, the second installment of MTN DEW Do Your Other Thing will be launched on MTV’s YouTube channel on the night, where fans will be given a glimpse of ‘Game of Thrones’ star Jacob Anderson’s music-making process as he recreates one of his singles, ‘Time in a Tree’.
Lizzo, Martin Garrix, Macklemore, Patrick Stump and Bazzil have being tapped to perform. Avengers: Endgame, Game of Thrones and RBG, top the list of nominees this year with four nominations each. The show will be hosted by Zachary Levi.
