A newest addition into the royal family is in the works as the palace confirmed on Monday October 15 that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first child come Spring 2019.
The announcement was made via Instagram by the Kensington Palace, which is the official handle of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as well as The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
Upon hearing the news of her daughter’s pregnancy, Meghan Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, gave a statement through Kensington palace: “Ms Ragland is very happy about this lovely news and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild,” it said.
The couple are currently on their first tour together in Australia after their marriage in May. They are expected to come back to the palace by the end of this month.
