Roc Nation, the recording label owned by ‘Forever Young’ rapper Jay Z and also helped flourished the music career of American rapper Meek Mill, has formed an alliance partnership deal with Meek’s Dream Chasers Label, by bringing it under its supervision to help flood in new musical talents and develop their craft for the benefit of the baby label. Under the terms and conditions of the contract, Dream Chasers will be able to handle its own operations, creative strategy, marketing and business affairs.
Starting off with Roc Nation, Meek has developed from a mere recording artist into a capable leader for the next generation. Jay Z said about his mentee, “Everything he has done leading up to this point shows he is ready to lead the next generation. We look at the big picture, this is way beyond signing artists and having hot records.”
Meek shared about the milestone achieved with his career and what intends with it, “Creating a record label has always been the next step in my journey as a businessman and I appreciate Roc Nation and Jay Z’s support on this new venture. I want to take my experiences in the music industry, use them to find young, hungry talent and open doors for the next generation of artists.”
Plans are also under way to create a recording studio to be used by the newly signed artists, who will make it on Dream Chaser’s artists slip.
