Emmy award winning actress and ‘Friends’ alum, Lisa Kudrow, has bagged her next big role at Amazon studios. The actress will star and executive produce the Amazon comedy pilot ‘Good People’.
The story line revolves around three generations of women working in the Ombudsman college office where they navigate the current cultural climate, the concept of feminism across different generations and the struggle to reconcile socially constructed ideas with current ethical views regarding complex issues such as sex, race, class and gender.
Kudrow will play Lynn Steele, a college ombudsman, a tired mercurial force of nature. She finds herself being seen as out of touch by the younger generation, even though she’s been a champion of women her entire career.
The project will be executive produced by Lisa together with Lee Daniels, who again is directing and Whitney Cummings, who will also double as a cast member. Daniels and Cumming are said to be creating it, whiles Amazon Studios and Fox 21 Television Studios are producing.
Kudrow scored an Emmy award back in the 90s after six nominations where she projected the character Phoebe Buffay in the hit comedy series ‘Friends’. She has since then basked notable roles in television for shows such as ‘The Comeback’ from HBO, ‘Web Therapy’ by the web series.
The actress is repped by CAA, Viewpoint and attorney Mark Gochman.
