A new queen for the prestigious Miss Universe Ghana pageant will soon be crowned on Saturday, September 15 at the Omanye Hall at the Labadi Beach Hotel.
As the 10 finalists take their turns on stage to parade their beauty backed with intelligence, the judging duties will be monitored by award-winning film producer/director Shirley Frimpong Manso, together with the award-winning actress Yvonne Nelson alongside business executive, Kojo Jones, who recently took home the Glitz Style Awards Business Executive Honoree Award, Transformation Expert Sean Guy and former beauty queen Manuela Ósk.
The judges are set to engage the 10 delegates in a back and forth question and answer segment and also assess their talent display on stage to help crown the 2018 queen.
The Miss Universe Ghana has over the years produced queens in Ghana to serve as representatives at the international stage since its inception in 1991. The longest Ghana has gone in the race to bring the crown home was in 1999 where, Akuba Cudjoe made it to the top 10 delegates. Last year’s winner Ruth Quashie also doubles as the second queen from Ghana to have gone far on the international front by marking her name as part of the top 16 delegates last year.
Audience for the night will be entertained with musical performances from the CCTV hit maker, King Promise and the reigning VGMA female Vocalist of the year, Adina.
