The king and queen of the North have once again proven they are unstoppable when it comes to pushing Ghana music beyond its bothers. Known for their thrilling stage performances, Wiyaala and King Ayisoba moved the audience at the Shambala festival held in the UK.
The three-day scheduled musical event saw King Ayisoba perform on the main stage and at the Barrio Afrika stage on Friday. Wiyaala was also featured in four performances, one with international all female band GRRRL on the main stage, Rebel Soul and Sankofa stages as well as a solo performance on Rebel Soul over the weekend.
Fans, who came in their numbers to witness the performance of our two Ghanaian acts remained at the grounds regardless of the rain and cold that served as company to the performances. There was a panel presentation about how GRRRL was formed and the respective journeys of all its female members.
Both Wiyaala and King Ayisoba, are credited for their well-coordinated use of the local dialect in composing songs that puts everybody in awe once they mount the stage or when their songs are played on radio.
