The council of Fashion Designers of America CFDA annual event was held last night at the Brooklyn Museum hosted by Issa Rae.
The event, which seeks to strengthen the influence and success of American designers in the global economy, this year honored prominent personalities in fashion such as; Kim Kardashian, Naomi Campbell, Donatella Versace, Edward Enninful and a host of others.
For the first time the organizers of the event introduced the Fashion Influencer award category merited to TV personality Kim Kardashian West.
Below is the full list of winners;
- Influencer Award – Kim Kardashian
- Accessory Designer of the year – Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen
- Womenswear Designer of the year – Raf Simmons
- Menswear Designer of the year – James Jebbia
- Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent – Sander Lak
- Fashion Icon – Naomi Campbell
- Media Award – Edward Enninful
- International Award – Donatella Versace
- The Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award – Narciso Rodriguez
- The Founder’s Award in honour of Eleanor Lambert – Carolina Herrera
- The Swarovski Award for positive change – Diane Von Furstenberg
