Kevin Hart’s 2017 sex tape brouhaha has resurfaced again in a court suit worth $60 million to-be-paid by the comedian.
In the 38-page lawsuit filed by Montia Sabagg, Hart alongside his friend Jonathan “JT” Jackson, the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and other related companies of intentional inflection of emotional distress, violations of privacy and negligence, Enews! reports.
According to Sabagg, she had no clue about the hidden camera that taped the intimate activity between her and Hart and as a result, is suing Hart for conspiracy with Jackson for the ultimate goal of accruing huge sums of money for himself at the time of his Irresponsible tour.
Sabagg is also of the opinion that, Hart’s purpose was to attract additional publicity and media attention through the leaked video and increase his overall pop culture status.
Back last year, Jackson was charged by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office with attempted extortion and extortion by threatening letter. The case was narrowed around Jackson’s alleged intentions of selling the tape to various celebrity websites after Hart’s refusal to pay an undisclosed amount to him. He pleads not guilty of the allegations and currently the case is still ongoing.
Neither Hart nor a member of his team has issued an official statement about the charges.
