Academy award winning actress Kate Winslet, is gracing the small screen again by starring in the upcoming HBO limited series, ‘Mare of Easttown’.
The Titanic star actress, will executive produce and play the role of a detective in a small Pennsylvania town. The character investigates a murder case while her personal life is in shambles. Brad Ingelsby is writing all episodes related to the script and will also function as showrunner. The series will be directed by Gavin O’Connor and executive produced by the mentioned trio alongside Gordon Gray, Paul Lee and Mark Roybal.
The coming back of Winslet on the small screen is the second time she is teaming with HBO, since her Emmy win for the 2011 series ‘Mildred Pierce’. A possible line of Winslet winning a second Emmy with her soon to star in series with HBO has already been drawn, counting on her refreshing performance in Titanic, Revolutionary Road, Sense and sensibility, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Reader, which fetched her an Oscar win.
Recently wrapping up a project with Titanic director James Cameron in the Avatar sequels, Kate will star with Saoirse Ronan in the Francis Lee-directed Ammonite. She is represented by CAA and UK-based United Agents.
