At age 40, John Legend has ultimately become the King of Hollywood hottie.
Achieving an EGOT status in the space of 12 years, plus becoming the first black man and young entertainer to merit the accolade, Legend has added another feature to his resume as the 2019 People Magazine ‘Sexiest Man Alive’. An honor most men in Hollywood value more than a well-polished Oscar trophy.
Charmed on the cover in a wet blue shirt and tailored suit for the double issue, the voice coach described his new title a little scary for him, “I was excited but was a little scared at the same time because it’s a lot of pressure. Everyone’ going to be picking me apart to see if I’m sexy enough to hold this title. I’m also following Idris Elba, which is not fair and is nice to me!”
Despite Legend’s mixed feelings with his Sexiest Man Alive 2019 honor, his wife Chrissy Teigen is quite okay with it and has quickly updated her twitter bio into, “de-motivational speaker currently sleeping with people’s sexiest man alive.”
The father of two now joins the tall list of Hollywood hotties named by People Magazine as the 34th Sexiest Man Alive starting with then 29-year-old Mel Gibson in 1985 through to last year’s very own Idris Elba.
