Working under the theme ‘The Holy Spirit’ aimed at establishing the significance of the Holy Spirit in the lives of every believer, Ohemaa Mercy’s annual ‘Tehilla Experience’ concert has put together for performance Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Gospel Artiste of the Year winners Joe Mettle (2017 & 2018) and Diana Hamilton (2019), as line-up artists for the 6th edition.
The duo will share the stage with the headline artist Ohemaa Mercy, together with veteran gospel musician Elder Mireku and VGMA nominee Cece Twum. On the international front, Lebo Sebaobela from South Africa and Minister Michael Mahendere from Zimbabwe, will also take turns to perform on the night.
Commenting on the chosen theme for the year, Mr Twum Ampofo, husband of Ohemaa Mercy, mused about the selection process for the ‘Holy Spirit’ theme and the spiritual preparations underground ahead of the concert. “As we have been doing each year, our early theme is reflective of the current Christian demands towards grounding our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. As directed by the Holy Spirit, we are commencing a month of fasting from July 1- 31 ahead of the Tehillah Experience,” Twum said.
The concert has over the years become one of the most revered Christian flooded events in the country, bringing together top acts in the music industry as well as staunch patrons of gospel music. Speaking at the press launch yesterday, Ohemaa Mercy promised her ‘Tehilla Experience’ event attendees of a great show different from any other they have witnessed in so far. “One thing I can promise you is that this year’s Tehilla Experience will be unlike any event you have ever attended. It will be unforgettable. My team is preparing day and night,” Ohemaa added.
