Janelle Monae and Kathryn Hahn have boarded the first ‘Knives Out’ sequel vehicle.
With plot and role details kept under wraps, the two actresses will join Daniel Craig alongside recently added cast members Dave Bautista and Edward Norton in the investigative thriller, which has Craig hunting for the murderer of a mysterious crime.
Now stationed at Netflix after a competitive $400 million deal, Rian Johnson will return in the director’s chair as well as pen the script for the instalment. He will also produce alongside his producing partner Ram Bergman, best known for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ under their production banner T-Street.
Production is set to begin this Summer in Greece.
Hahn, who recently appeared in Marvel’s ‘WandaVision’ playing Agatha Harkness, a nosy neighbour with a secret will feature next in Apple series ‘The Shrink Next Door’. She also starred in the HBO limited series ‘I Know This Much Is True’ opposite Golden Globe winner Mark Ruffalo.
Monae repped by WME, Wondaland and Ziffren Brittenham was last in Lionsgate’s ‘Antebellum’ and Amazon’s ‘The Glorias’.
