Award-winning actor James Gardiner and media personality Shirley E.F. Tibilla, have been announced as show hosts for the 2019 Radio and Television Personality Awards.
Both stars announced as the night hosts are no new bees in the call to duty as emcees for an occasion. James, who is heavily regarded as one of the best actors in the Ghanaian film industry holds alongside a respectable resume as show host looking back at his 2017 Glitz Style Awards red carpet host duty.
Shirley, popularly referred to as Cookie Tee on radio waves, is also a formidable force who never goes unnoticed when heard. She doubles as co-host on Starr Drive on Starr FM and host of the mid-week relationship talk show ‘Tales from the Powder Room’ on GHOne TV. Aside her main stage action, Shirley is again up for a ‘TV Discovery of the Year’ nomination, where she faces off against Roselyn Felli (TV Africa), Ridwan Deen Osman (GHOne TV), Ayisha Yakubu (TV3), Benedicta Gafa (TV3), Patricia Aseidua (Thunder TV) and Kwame Owusu Danso (Pan African TV).
The event, which honors the very best among patrons in the media fraternity, be it radio or television is slated to take place at the Accra International Conference Center on Saturday October 10, 2019. Several renowned acts in the media space such as Berla Mundi, Giovani Caleb, Dzifa Ametam, AJ Sarpong, Nana Aba Anamoah, Stacey Amoateng and more, all have multiple slots on the nomination sheet for 2019.
The event is organized by Big Events Ghana and sponsored by DOPHIL Roofing Sheets, Castrol, Adonko Bitters, Special Ice, Yazz Sanitary Pad, Officer Drink, Su Misura, Perfect World Limited and Bryt Media.
Metro TV’s entertainment presenter Jacqueline Acquaye and Joy Prime’s KMJ will take over the red carpet interviews as hosts.
