The Problem

After much research, we can conclude that there is indeed a growing gap in the culinary sector for a well fitted culinary school that churns out seasoned chefs and cooks in Ghana to a standard comparable to major industry players worldwide.

Dainess Chefs’ School

Dainess Chefs’ School (DCS) is the embodiment of a training institution purposefully set up to groom chefs, sharpen the skills of seasoned chefs in the hospitality industry, not forgetting those with a thriving passion for food and the avid experimenters. The goal is to elevate culinary standards in Ghana.

Rigorous Course Work and a Wealth of Experience

At Dainess Chefs’ School, we combine creativity with education in fine tuning the skill set of students to attain the necessary core skills in gastronomy. In collaboration with accredited Chef Instructors with years of experience in hospitality, and in association with the Chef Association of Ghana, we will execute this concept. Both our Chef Instructors have a combination of over 25 years in rich culinary experience both abroad (Germany, South Africa, Nigeria etc.) and locally. Having worked with several leading 4-5-star hotels and restaurants. We have designed a rigorous curriculum in training students to become professional Cuisine and Pastry Chefs. In addition, master classes and short courses will be made available to meet the needs if the working chef/caterer etc. Students can train to become Pastry Chefs, Executive Chefs (Cuisine), Executive Sous Chefs (Cuisine), Head Chefs, Chef de Partie etc.

Courses in Hospitality

Other courses on offer include Event Design and Hospitality Management which aim to equip students with a professional skill set in the ever-evolving areas of decoration, customer service, professional waiting, food and beverage service, grooming and many more.

Chef’s Bio

Chef Kofi Agyekum

15 years working as a Pastry Chef. Worked with African Regent for a year, Alisa Hotel for 4 years, Royal Senchi for 2 years, Holiday Inn for 4 years, Kempinski for 3 years and was a consultant at GIMPA going on 6 months, at which point he joined us. Classical education in Ghana, South Africa and Germany.
