Three weeks past now and we are still stand by the amazing photos and recorded videos shared by Africa’s leading influencers, plugging in on their Travel to SA experience in the early dates of July 2019.
The selected class of influencers were made up of our very own celebrity/lifestyle blogger Ameyaw Debrah and songstress Deborah Vanessa together with Glitz Style Awards ‘Africa Style Influencer’ winners Toke Makinwa (2017), Bonang Matheba (2018), Mai Atafo, Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Chidera Mouka, Kola Oshalusi, Folu Storms and the MTV Base crew. All names mentioned in the above lineup were treated to an eight-day summer experience, which highlighted the beautiful and fascinating scenes in Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal province situated in South Africa.
Sharing pictures of their sponsored travel for the benefit of their million Instagram followers, spotted locations in hotel suites, restaurants, served up with good meal and wine, climaxed with photoshoots (kind courtesy their personal phone cameras for a side attraction treat). Knysa Lagoon, St. Francis Bay, Port Elizabeth, Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve ground and idyllic features were graced by the touch and steps of the influencers, not to even talk about the publicity these sites gained per single post per person.
Durban city was not left out in the experience as the 8-member squad were hosted on a lunch date at the Cargo Holds Restaurant by their counterpart and South Africa’s original Bonang Matheba. Durban July staged at the Greyville Racecourse, Berea-South Africa and classified as the country’s most prestigious horse race was heavily attended. The theme for the closing evening gala at the Durban July event was ‘Stars of Africa’ and knowing the shuttering appearances the likes of Toke and Bonang bring on board, it was definitely more than expected.
