46-year-old British heartthrob Idris Elba has been named as the sexiest man alive by People Magazine. The title as the sexiest man alive this year follows the tall list of 32 preceding men named by the magazine from 1985 with then 29-year-old Mel Gibson as the first to have received the bragging rights, making Elba the 33rd man to be named.
Starring in series of movies in Hollywood and stealing the attention of most women who turn on their screens to find him in large fonts dazzling with his black skinned complexion, Elba shared with the magazine what he thought about his latest title, ” I was like, ‘Come on, no way. Really? Looked in the mirror, I checked myself out. I was like, ‘Yeah, you are kind of sexy today.’ But to be honest, it was just a nice feeling. It was a nice surprise- an ego boost for sure.”
The well-built packs of the sexiest man Elba was not born with, as he shared how he was picked on at school during his skinny days until he grew a mustache and some muscles, ” I was very tall and skinny. And my name was Idrissa Akuna Elba, okay? I got picked on a little bit. But as soon as I could grow a mustache, I was the coolest kid on the block. Grew a mustache, had some muscles, bonkers.”
No matter how sexy he feels as a man and how many girls are willing to throw themselves at him, the biggest highlight of his life is been a witness to the birth of his children. He disclosed, “Being witness to the birth of my children is the biggest and best thing ever. I’m super doting, big hugs, kisses, lots of love-yous. I’m sure my daughter’s like, ‘All right Dad, chill out.’ My son is still at that age where he loves a cuddle.”
Elba has a 16-year-old daughter Isan and a 4-year-old son Winston and is set to get married to his fiancée Sabrina Dhowre, the 29-year-old model.
