Hubtel is Ghana’s leading indigenous fintech company with the vision of becoming Africa’s most useful company; building a platform that everyone can find, pay and easily partake in the digital economy.
One significant contributor to the local economy is the fashion industry; with a value chain ranging from fabric and accessory manufacturers, designers, stylists, wholesalers and retailers, amongst others. Each party contributes to this multi-million-dollar industry, adding value to the various products for global consumption.
Hubtel in its quest to impact society is extending support to emerging fashion designers by partnering with Ghana’s biggest fashion platform and event, the Glitz Africa Fashion Week. This partnership seeks to facilitate onboarding of fashion designers on the platform, a needed step to support fashion business industry through e-commerce.
The Head of User Experience and Marketing, Mr. Owusu-Marfo, said in a statement that “we are excited about this partnership. As an indigenous technology company, we are always looking forward contributing to advancing the economy through digital innovation. This is evident in our work with our Hubtel App –– which has been tagged as Ghana’s most useful app –– and our support in building the ghana.gov platform. This partnership affords us the liberty to extend that support to an industry whose contribution to the local economy cannot be understated––the fashion industry. We look forward to, by the partnership, help businesses in the fashion industry have a robust digital experience in running their business, especially in payment processing.”
The partnership will afford patrons the opportunity to enjoy exciting discounts by making purchases on Hubtel’s e-commerce platform.
