The late hours of yesterday popped up a reunion Ghana has been waiting for in the past weeks. A reunion photo of the two reigning dancehall artists; Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
Posted on each’s social media account in confirmation of the new formed brotherhood tagged along captions of unity and peace for the motherland, not leaving out the one thing that identifies them as artists in Ghana and beyond ‘Music’. Shatta shared in some part of his post reading “My brother and I got a great vision for Ghana music and we taking it to the world.”
After the shared images followed a series of tweets and Instagram regulars coming out with congratulatory messages in climax to the successful peaceful campaign rallied on after the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards scandal from both camps.
GUBA Awards founder, Dentaa Amoateng MBE, shared a photo and wrote, “This picture makes so much sense in so many ways!! #unity #ghanamusic.” Samini did not miss out on such a glorious moment as he tweeted “big up @stonebwoyb and @shattawalenima…#onelove #Ghanamusic must win ?.”Joy FM’s, Sammy Forson, chimed on his social media handle captioned, “You are your brother’s keeper. Unity is strength. We all WIN together ????….Beautiful ❤❤❤.”
New Artist of the Year winner, Wendy Shay championed the reunion photo saying, “2 Kings” and entertainment journalist MzGee, also wrote beneath her shared photo on her platform, “Finally, something to smile about! One love!”
Artists manager at Zylofon media Bulldog, who happens to have had a personal deal (both good and bad) in the past with both camps, formed part of the unity committee alongside Stonebwoy’s front man manager Blackcedi and Bullet (manager to Wendy Shay). This was confirmed by our reigning cover and Ghana Women of the Year achievement in media recipient Nana Aba Anamoah, as she shared a unity photo of all five excluding Bullet, captioned, “Bullet, Bulldog and Blackcedi..you three gentlemen are amazing. Your humility to forge ahead and make the industry better than it is, is breathtakingly beautiful. God is good.”
The unity as seen on social media is beautiful, but music lovers of both artists are calling for a collaborated song to hit the air waves.
It surely will be a hit when it drops!
