Not only did Taylor Swift become the artiste with the highest number of American Music Awards win (28) in 2019, she also now stands on top of the list of the highest paid musicians in 2019, in a round up figure of $185 million.
Kanye West follows at No.2 with $150 million, heavily influenced by his Yeezy empire and adidas partnership which is expected to hit $1.5 billion in sales by the end of the year. ‘Perfect’ singer Ed Sheeran comes in at No.3 with $110 million, and just next to him is The Eagles scoring the fourth place with $100 million. Elton John rounds up the top five names with a dollar bag worth $84 million.
Taking the first place with a count from No.6 are the music royals Beyoncé and Jay-Z, affectionately called The Carters, tied up in the sixth position, collecting $81 million. Drake, Diddy and Metallica take the eight ($ 75 million), ninth ($70 million) and tenth position ($68.5 million) respectively.
Rihanna is No.11, earning $62 million in the year, whiles Travis Scott lands at No.12 with $58 million. Somewhere on the list is Ariana Grande at No.22, with a $48 million figure and Kendrick Lamar at No.34, gathering $38.5 million.
Forbes records that, the 10-highest paid musicians in the world earned just over $1 billion pre-tax from June 2018 to June 2019, up from $886 million last year.
