Helena Bonham Carter is the newest cast member of ‘Enola Holmes’; a screen adaptation by Legendary from Nancy Springer’s ‘Enola Holmes Mysteries’ series novel.
Carter will play the role of Enola’s mother, who disappears on her daughter’s birthday leaving behind elaborate ciphers for Enola to discover. Carter will share the screen with ‘Stranger Things’ star actress Millie Bobby Brown, for the adaptation.
The project will be directed by Harry Bradbeer and produced by Legendary together with Millie and her sister Paige Brown via the duo’s PCMA Productions shingle. The film will be scripted by Jack Thorne.
Carter is best known for her screen appearance in ‘The King’s Speech’ which she scored an Academy award nomination with and a collective ‘Harry Potter’ movies. Recently, she starred alongside Oscar winners Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett in the all-female led crime drama ‘Ocean’s Eight’. The actress, repped by WME, MGMT Entertainment and Conway van Gelder Grant will next be seen playing Princess Margaret on Netflix’s ‘The Crown’.
