One-time Oscar winner, Halle Berry is set to make her directorial debut with the soon to be shot MMA drama film Bruised.
Halle will also star in the film by the playing the role of Jackie, a disgraced MMA fighter who has to conquer her own demons, face one of the fiercest rising stars of the MMA world and fight to become the mother that she thinks her 6-year-old son Manny, who she walked out on years ago returns back to her life.
Michelle Rosenfard wrote the story that is also being produced by Entertainment 360 and Linda Gottllieb. Riverstone is financing and Erica Lee serving as exec producer.
Halle, who has starred in over 20 movies since her debut on the screens in the 90s is the first and only black actress to win a best actress in a leading role award at the Oscars. Berry won in the year 2002 and is said to have given one of the best Oscar winning speeches of all time.
