Joining the tall list of already booked fashion houses to showcase their menswear ensembles at the upcoming Men’s Fashion Week in Paris are Givenchy and Celine.
The newly acquired spot on the menswear calendar will mark Celine’s first-ever menswear show under the supervision of artistic, creative and image director Hedi Slimane and the second, but first time for newly artistic director Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy, the famous designer of Meghan Markle’s bridal gown.
The menswear platform will serve as a continuation for Hedi to extend his vision of unisex menswear look, which he showcased at Paris Fashion Week in September this year. Clare on the other hand will shine on the runway as her edgy menswear ensembles will be in the midst of other collections designed and directed by men in the fashion industry.
The show, which is slated for January 2019, next year has on board Virgil Abloh, who will present his second menswear collection for Louis Vuitton, Kim Jones will present his second main season collection at Dior, and Kris Van Assche will also present his first show for Berluti. Other luxury brands for the show include, Balenciaga, Gucci, Maison Margiela and Stella McCartney.
