Elsewhere on Instagram, award-winning showbiz blogger, GhKwakwu has replied actress/media personality Efia Odo, on a tweet shamming Ghanaian bloggers for not supporting their very own.
Following the buzz Davido’s sold-out 02 Arena concert generated on Ghanaian blogs, Efia Odo tweeted early Monday morning saying, “Look at how almost every blogger in Ghana Dey blog bout Davido’s concert, but when our local talents do show etc, some of these bloggers don’t write fi bout it. Do you ever see Nigerian bloggers blogging bout any thing artists concert or shows?? Smh asem.”
Proving Efia Odo wrong about her ignorance in terms of the support bloggers merit to artists and celebrities in general, as well as the real thing that goes into blogging, GhKwaku shared Efia’s Twitter post on Instagram and captioned, “These types of things are really annoying…(she gets tagged) give me a single scenario where an artist in Ghana did a show last year that a blogger didn’t blog/write about…Also, Let a Ghanaian act fill the 02 arena and tell me Nigeria won’t blog about it. Go to @bellanaijaonline @lindaikejiblog, etc and see the Ghanaian contents they put up daily. And don’t talk about our artists’ shows. We do blog… Stop these things this year. It won’t help none of us ? Everyday blogger this blogger that…Blogging is not about only Instagram and Twitter…It entails a lot, Come, we’ll break it down for you…Charle we taya you people ?.”
This is not the first time Ghanaian bloggers have faced backlash from Ghanaian celebrities for not supporting their own, as dancehall artists Stonebwoy, disclosed years back that bloggers in GH only feed on bad publicity and not the works that they do. Efia Odo, is however, yet to respond to GhKwaku’s intended correction on her tweet.
