The second edition of the Ghana Women of the Year Honours by Glitz Africa came off last Saturday, 13th May, 2017 at Banquet Hall, State House to celebrate women excelling in their fields.
Prof. Afua A. J. Hesse received the Excellence in Health honour, Dr. Theresa Oppong-Beeko of Manet Housing for Excellence in Business, Shirley Frimpong-Manso of Sparrow Productions for Excellence in Arts, Dzifa Bampoh of Multimedia Group for Excellence in Media, Joyce Ababio for Fashion Force, Eugenia Tachie-Menson of Young Educators Foundation (YEF) for Activist and Wiyaala for Young and Gifted.
Claudia Lumor, CEO of Glitz Africa in a special recognition message, acknowledged Bernice Dapaah of the Ghana Bamboo Bikes Initiative, Josephine Marie Godwyll of Young at Heart Organization and Sara Nana Yeboah of Sangy Nursing Services for their social entrepreneurial efforts and encouraged them to keep working hard.
Stephanie Benson, Adina, Irene Logan and Faith Bekoe treated the audience to melodious tunes.
The event was graced by the presence of personalities like Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, Theresa Ayoade, Ellen Hagan, Manuela Medie, Dzifa Edjeani-Asiedu, Yvonne Okoro, Joselyn Dumas, Berla Mundi, and Zynell Zuh among many others. There were content smiles everywhere.
