For the next five years (2020-2024), Ghana will serve as host nation of the annual urban music beach festival, Afro Nation.
Political figure Gabby Otchere-Darko made the exclusive deal known via his Facebook handle saying, “A major highlight of this maiden UK-Africa Summit is the 5-year Africa exclusive event deal for Ghana to host Afro Nation annually.”
According to Gabby, the deal was signed between the Ghana Tourism Authority and Event Horizon Entertainment Ltd, organizers of the festival, in the presence of Ghana’s President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
“This means, investors, entrepreneurs, small and medium-size businesses have at least a five-year investment plan to focus on to exploit well the anticipated annual Christmas traffic. The trade boom will be sustained by your thinking government,” continued Gabby.
Laboma Beach Resort situated inside Accra-Ghana hosted the Africa edition of the festival during the festive season. The 3-day music event was packed with performances from Africa’s best artists including Tiwa Savage, Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and many more.
