From the days of ‘Run the World’ to the era of ‘Formation’, Beyoncé has proven to be a bonafied custodian of an artiste with right costume concepts for music videos. Yesterday, news came out that the pop-star has curated a 14-track list album ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ which features an array of African acts adding their vocals to the full make-up of the album. The good part of the entire story is the fact that Shatta Wale and Guiltybeatz are included on the album, with the former as a singer and the latter as a producer.
Awaiting the album’s official release on Friday July 19 along with ‘The Lion King’ movie, the Emmy nominated artist has shared with the world, visuals from her ‘Spirit’ soundtrack written by herself together with Ilya Salmanzadeh and Labrinth. Described by Beyoncé as a love letter to Africa, the music video embodies spectacular bold outfits with beautiful scenery matching up the story line of the film.
The music video was shot at Havasu Falls, located in Havasu Creek in the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA. As lovers and admirers of Beyoncé video costumes, we narrow things down with five of our favourites from the music video.
